Hi - I was just watching this show called "Bang for your Buck" on HGTV, and there was a kitchen showcased in Phoenix that had Bamboo Cabinets. I was wondering if anyone had ever used this green material for cabinets, or had any photos (I couldn't find any on the website). My wife and I absolutely loved the look. I have a bunch of questions about cost and durability. Can I get anything at Ikea, or are they custom? HELP (and thanks in advance).

I just did a quick search on Flickr and came up with these inspirational photos. Overall I like the smaller brushed nickel square pulls that sit on the top of the cabinet more than the rounded ones that are seemingly more popular. Check out the corner drawer pic to see what I mean.

I don't think Ikea makes a bamboo door front - there are some close alternatives, like the Solar beech doors (expensive) or the Nexus yellow- brown, more affordable.
But you seem pretty handy, Eric, maybe you could make the doors yourself?
