This is my Garage

Six months ago we bought our first house (you can read about the process on my Destination Wedding Photography Blog, if you are interested).  I soon realized that although I had the knowledge to tackle almost every honey-do project on my list, I was lacking tools and a workshop.  So now that our house is livable (new floors, paint, and stuff), My next job is to tackle the garage.  This is my canvas:

As a kid, my dad had a hardware store, and my parent’s garage had every tool imaginable.  Don’t believe me, ask me if we had the tool in the comments below.  I built my first car before I had a driver’s license (and still have it), and would tinker and fuss for hours in the garage.

Now that I have my own, I get to have fun!  And this blog will document the process.  Of course there are some self-imposed guidelines that I’ll adhere to

  • First and foremost Our car needs to fit inside every night.
  • It needs to have a modern theme.  (I’m a big fan of modern architecture)
  • And of course I have a budget (so there will be lots of D.I.Y. projects)

Stay tuned, check back often or subscribe by RSS or email to follow my progress.

It’s so grateful how you get to feel and do the same little things you enjoyed as a child. Good luck on your garage project, and I expect to seeing the pictures of throughout the process. By the way, I noticed a typo: you put “my Frist Garage” instead of “my First garage”, right under the picture :)
Oh and I bet you already know about this, but check out doityourself.com for your DIY projects. The site provides a whole bunch of detailed guides to various DIY stuff, so it should be helpful to ya!

Hey, thanks for your great comment. And thanks for pointing out the type-o. I have fast fingers, and every now and then one slips by me. Strangely enough, I think I’m gonna leave that little slip-up in place. That way if someone searches Google and mis-spells frist, I’ll come up first!
