Plants

As the new spring 2010 season starts, I’m beginning with an essentially blank slate in my backyard.  Over the winter, we’ve been preparing beds as the weather allows.  Relocating sprinkler heads from the perimiter of the fence to the edge of the sod.  Digging up old unknown bushes, weeding, and fortifying the soil.

As I peruse other austin gardening blogs (like Pam Pennick’s Digging), I note the plants that I want to grow, and add them to this never ending list

  • Mexican Marigold
  • snowdrops – bulbs
  • chionodoxas – bulbs
  • Veronica umbrosa ‘Georgia Blue’
  • Clusiana tulip ‘Tinka’
  • crocus – bulbs
  • Trailing ‘Candy Corn’ abutilon
  • “Sky Pencil” Holly
  • Tetraneuris scaposa ‘Four-Nerve Daisy
  • melampodium leucanthum ‘Blackfoot Daisy’

Plants that are currently in my yard:

  • Tulips
  • Daffodils

  • White Lilly of the valley
