This isn’t one of my usual Garage Posts, but I ask you to read on, just a bit and you’ll understand where I’m going with this…
Sometimes I find it hard to get out to my garage. Â It’s not that I’m lazy, or uninspired. Â There are, in fact 100′s of ideas bouncing around in my brain every moment – sort of like a beehive, and I feel like my cerebellum is the queen. Â Most of my projects seem to start the same way, I get an idea, write it in my Moleskin Journal, and then turn to the web to gather more ideas and flesh out the idea. Â But then I get distracted – a client calls on the phone, or I get a text from a friend, or a new idea pops up, spurred on from my research, and I never get through the door to actually starting a project. Â You might sympathize with this, as you are surfing the web right now, and probably not working on your latest idea or craft project.
As a result, sometimes I don’t have as much “stuff to blog about”. Â Stuff that I’ve actually done, created, or made. Â So from today forward, my blog will not only provide info on what I’m building, remodeling, or working on, but also on things that are inspirational to me.
Today I want to talk about theSelby.com. Â While on Facebook the other day (not working of course), Heidi, one of my friends (well, she isn’t actualy a real friend, more like one of those virtual friends), Â made a post about www.theSelby.com. Â It’s sort of like the Sartorialist for life. Â Pictures of people’s kitchens, photos of closets, peeks into their life, and how the subjects create their art. Â That stuff has always been fascinating to me. Â A peep-show into their creative process.
